Urban redevelopment in Singapore is an ongoing process, aimed at creating a more efficient and sustainable use of land. The government has set a target to provide housing for 80% of the population in public housing, and to ensure that all citizens have access to affordable housing. The process of urban redevelopment includes the demolition and reconstruction of existing buildings and infrastructure, as well as the creation of new developments to meet the changing needs of the population.
