While cohabitation is an option, it’s not always preferred by either generation, and large residential properties that accommodate multiple families are often prohibitively expensive. As Singapore’s population ages, enabling singles to live near their parents becomes increasingly vital. Easing the burden on individual caregivers indirectly supports the broader social and healthcare systems.
