You’ll need to be available for tidying up before viewings and personally showcasing the property and its facilities. Without a pre-secured buyer, selling at a fair price—or even a good price—within a short timeframe is challenging, especially for high-quantum units like rare jumbo flats or properties in prime areas.

This strategy can help you avoid rushing for ABSD remission or managing two home loans simultaneously. The sales process often involves setting an initial price and gradually reducing it if responses are slow. However, if you cannot list on major property portals, you might need to prepare for a longer wait before receiving a decent offer. If you’re not in a rush to sell, this extended timeframe is less of a concern. Buyers who sell their current home first, rent temporarily, and then search for a new home are better positioned for an independent sale.
